No Weigh-In

Okay, wait a second before you yell at me!!

This morning’s lack of weigh-in was NOT because I was feeling discouraged and just wanted to throw in the towel and had done so terribly all week and DON’T LOOK AT ME I’M HIDEOUS.  I promise.

Because, in fact, I didn’t do too badly this week.  Even though both Walter and I were sick, I travelled, and we’ve been moving – I still did pretty well.  For example, remember how I said I was only going to have one cookie?  Success!  And here it is:

BAM, Tiff’s Treats.  Owned.  Also, my awesome boss took me to the UT Club on Friday for their lunch buffet.  I stuck to the soup and salad bar, and I kept things so healthy!

But back to my delinquency.  This morning I was on my way out the door, WW materials in my purse, wearing my weigh-in clothes (that’s right, I wear the same kind of outfit every week just to be as accurate as possible), when our movers called and said they were ready to go! (You can even ask Walter – I promise I had every intention of going!!  Okay, maybe not every intention, but I had a smattering of intentions.)  The movers had given us the incredibly ROUGH estimate of “sometime between 1pm and 3pm”…which apparently meant 10:30am.  I had to SPEED back to my place, without any hopes of making it to a WW meeting – and they still beat me there.

So yes, this is a big fat excuse, and yes, this is the first time I haven’t weighed-in since I started the blog, but guess what?  OH WELL.  In the past 24 hours, I have lifted more boxes and climbed more stairs than ever in my life – so I’m feeling just fine.  We’re off to the grocery store tomorrow, and all we’ve got going on this week is a BUTTLOAD OF UNPACKING.  Seriously, folks, this is what the apartment looked like last night at about 11:30pm:

Out of control.  It looks so much better now – but only because we were up until 4 in the morning, building IKEA furniture and trying to figure out where everything is going to go.  I built a dresser all by myself – it was such an accomplishment.  Except all of my muscles hurt.  Muscles I didn’t even know I had.

Finally, I apologize to YOU, blog friends, for my indiscretion this morning.  However, we’re on to a new week, and to being under 200 pounds!!
