Down 3.0 Pounds

After having a bit of a rough week, I decided to hop on Walter’s scale yesterday morning. When it read “200.4”, I was incredibly surprised.  Granted, Walter’s scale usually reads about a pound less than the WW scale, but I still was surprised that I was a couple of pounds down from last week.  Why, might you ask?  Well, a tsunami of stress just hit Liztown, USA.

Can we talk about adulthood for a second?  I mean, ew.  Granted, change is good and a lot of these new things are awesome, but it is creating some serious stress. Between taxes, car problems, Time Warner being shitty, moving, and work, it’s been an explosion of a week.  HOWEVER – I’ve crossed off one GIANT thing from this list….a new car!

(The heli-car was just a liiiiittle too expensive, Walter.  I’m so sorry.)  But I have a car!  And as of this morning, I have car insurance!  So I drove it!  And it’s fancypants!  (I mean, anything would be fancypants compared to my 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass…)  My old car was quite literally falling apart, so things happened quickly over the past week, involving a rental car, test-driving, loads of paperwork, and lots of decision-making.  But it’s done! HOORAY!!!

Oh, and then Time Warner SUCKED.  I called on March 28 to cancel my service as of May 1, and they said it was “too early”.  Like, I have to call them back in approximately THREE DAYS to cancel the service, because it has to be no more than 30 days from the cancellation date.  (This is hilarious bullshit, folks.  Hilarious.)  Then, when I called back on April 6 to cancel for May 1, I thought everything was fine.  Until I couldn’t connect to the internet last night, called them, and they explained that I had called on April 6 to “cancel my service”.  TW folks – were you paying attention at ALL?  You’re a bunch of ninnies. NINNIES I TELL YOU.

So last night, internet-less and car-insurance-less, I was feeling pretty crappy.  I thought very seriously about ordering a pizza….for myself.  From Papa John’s.  A large pizza.  With lots of cheese on it.  Joyous, joyous cheese.  But I thought about it a little harder, knowing that I was going to weigh in this morning, and I went with something way better – 1 egg, 3 whites, spinach, and WW cheese.  It was delicious, and I didn’t feel as though I’d overindulged.

Must have paid off, because I’m down 3 pounds!!

Weight loss this week: 3.0 pounds
Current weight: 200.6 pounds
TOTAL weight loss: 35.2 pounds!!! 

You guys.  I am SO close to being under 200 pounds!  This will be a bit of an easier week, so I’m pushing for under 200 next week!!  AHHHHH.  It’s been years since I’ve been under 200 pounds.  (Like, circa 2009.)

I’m sorry I don’t have 30-pounds photos yet – I promise it’s coming soon (once Nathan and I can coordinate our totally crazy schedules).  As always, thanks for reading – my awesome friends keep me accountable!  More soon. :)

  1. That’s great that you’ve lost 3 pounds with all that stress! I’m back on the weight watcher wagon myself and have been super stressed lately so reading this was very encouraging!
